Olympusat’s Ultra HD Plex Channels Celebrate 5-year Anniversary
West Palm Beach, FL – May 18, 2017 – Olympusat, Inc., one of the largest independent media companies specializing in the ownership, distribution, production and technical services of Spanish and English-language networks, announced that its robust suite of owned-and-operated Spanish-language HD channels, branded as the Ultra HD Plex, has hit the 5-year mark.
Since its roll out, the Ultra HD Plex suite of Spanish-language HD channels has catered to the Hispanic community, delivering unrivaled content that covers most genres and formats, including movies, series, telenovelas, narconovelas, variety shows, reality television, kids programming, documentaries, music, travel and lifestyle entertainment. Each channel has its own identity and appearance, focusing on a different target audience, thus ensuring that there is an Ultra HD Plex channel for everyone.
“We are incredibly proud to reach this milestone. When we first launch the Ultra HD Plex channels, there was hardly any Spanish-language content available in HD in the U.S.; now, 5 years later, we are not only providing high-quality programming from North, South and Central America to the Hispanic community, but we are also creating and producing our own original content,” stated Tom Mohler, CEO of Olympusat Holdings. “We are constantly working to improve our TV offering, aiming to provide our audience with more entertainment options across multiple distributors and platforms.”
The first 9 Ultra HD Plex channels aired in 2012, becoming the largest suite of Spanish-language HD channels in the United States. The channels that celebrate their 5-year anniversary are: Ultra Cine, Ultra Clásico, Ultra Docu, Ultra Fiesta, Ultra Film, Ultra Kidz, Ultra Luna, Ultra Macho and Ultra Mex. Nowadays, Ultra HD Plex sums up a total of 12 channels with the addition of Ultra Banda, Ultra Familia and Ultra Tainment.
The Ultra HD Plex channels are available on Claro, Charter Spectrum, Hotwire Communications, Liberty, Verizon FiOS and VEMOX™. The availability of each channel may vary by region and cable provider.
